County Crime Watch: Rainfall from Dolly's Remnants Provides Drought Relief in Caribbean

The remnants of former Tropical Storm Dolly brought welcome rainfall to the Caribbean, particularly to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, ending a drought-stricken period. The system is expected to continue moving westward, with a low chance of redevelopment. For South Florida and the Keys, the forecast remains for daily storms and some sunshine, with a wet start to September. A Hurricane Hunter flight is scheduled to investigate the system if necessary. The current environment of upper-level wind shear and swift forward speed will prevent redevelopment for the next day or so.
