Coral Gables Home Burglary Linked to Kenya Helicopter Crash Victims
Coral Gables police have arrested two suspects, Geybert Garcia, 40, and Melany Perdomo, 24, in connection with the burglary of the home of Henry Parra, 55, and Adam Hlavaty, 42, who died in a helicopter crash in Kenya. Authorities now believe the suspects were targeting the home after learning of the victims' deaths and suspect a broader scheme involving stolen identities, vehicles, and firearms. Additional arrests are expected as multiple law enforcement agencies continue to investigate. Detectives recovered passports, driver's licenses, and fraudulent identification documents from the suspects' home, and found evidence of five stolen vehicles. The investigation also uncovered additional suspected crimes, including the theft of a California-registered truck. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
