Conway man sentenced after admitting to two Horry County burglaries

A man from Conway has been sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary tied to homes in Horry County. The office of the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor announced that Chad Lamar Long, 38, admitted to the burglaries and received concurrent prison terms of 10 years for each conviction.
According to the solicitor’s office, the first burglary occurred on Sept. 3, 2024, at a Myrtle Beach-area residence; Long was arrested on Feb. 4, 2025. The second burglary took place on Sept. 26, 2025, at a Conway-area residence; he was arrested on Oct. 5, 2025. The filings indicate items taken included cash and electronics with an estimated value of about $100, and a broken window valued at approximately $250.
The solicitor’s office publicly thanked the Horry County Police Department and its officers for their work on the cases. The office’s statement and the sequence of incidents, arrests, guilty pleas, and sentencing were provided by the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor’s office as the source of the allegations and disposition. The sentences for both counts were ordered to run concurrently.
