Cargo Plane Overruns Runway at Miami International, Strikes Vehicles; Five Dead
An Amazon Prime Air cargo jet overran the runway after landing at Miami International Airport on September 6 and struck multiple vehicles before catching fire. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the aircraft hit a couple of vehicles, trapping some occupants; firefighters transported three people to trauma centers in critical condition and treated two others at a local hospital. Officials confirmed five people were kll in the incident. Authorities responded on scene to extinguish the fire, free trapped victims and provide medical care; investigators will continue examining the aircraft and circumstances of the overrun.
