Cargo plane leaves runway at Miami International, strikes work van; five cleaning workers kll

A cargo plane operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon ran off the runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday and struck a work van carrying cleaning company employees, kll five workers and injuring another. Authorities identified the deceased as Julio Pineda, 75, Carlos Acosta Fajardo, 53, Rolando Aleman Leon, 55, Javierkys Reyes Quevedo, 47, and Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, 53; a 79-year-old man, Eugenio Corredor, was treated as an injured victim. Pineda’s sons have retained attorneys, who said they are collecting information and evaluating potential legal claims on behalf of the family. The lawyers said they are still assembling facts before deciding whether to file a complaint.
