Beckley woman charged in alleged trafficking and abuse of minor
A Beckley woman was arrested on multiple charges after a Raleigh County sheriff’s investigation into an alleged human trafficking incident originally reported in August 2025. Court documents say Sarah Dawn Haines was indicted on Human Trafficking, s3xual Abuse by Parent/Guardian, chld Neglect resulting in Injury, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
The complaint alleges that on August 6, 2026 Haines administered medication to a minor that rendered the chld drowsy and unable to move, then allowed another person access to the chld who allegedly sexually abused the minor on several occasions. Haines is accused of accepting money and clothing and of denying the victim’s reports.
All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
