Beckley woman charged in alleged trafficking and abuse of a minor
Raleigh County prosecutors charged Sarah Dawn Haines of Beckley with Human Trafficking, s3xual Abuse by Parent/Guardian, chld Neglect resulting in Injury, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony after a criminal complaint filed this year. Investigators say the probe tied to a report first made in August 2025 led to new action on August 6, 2026.
The complaint alleges Haines gave a minor medication to render them drowsy, then allowed another person unsupervised access during which the minor said they were sexually assaulted. Authorities allege Haines took money and clothing related to the incidents and denied the claims when confronted; charges remain allegations.
