Bay County deputies arrested a FedEx route driver and his girlfriend after an investigation linked roughly $10,000 in stolen customer packages to the driver over about a month. Authorities executed a search warrant at the couple’s residence and recovered numerous items, including property not yet reported missing. The two were taken into custody and charged following the search.

The sheriff’s office says investigators opened the probe after receiving multiple customer complaints about missing or disputed deliveries. Deputies used in-vehicle surveillance footage, GPS tracking and witness interviews to connect the alleged thefts to the driver. Investigators allege the driver removed items from his truck, resealed boxes and marked them delivered while substituting other items in some cases.

According to the agency, the stolen goods allegedly included laptops, an iPhone 18 Pro Max, a large television, electric bicycles and air-conditioning units. Deputies say one delivery allegedly involved a laptop replaced with a bag of popcorn; in other instances merchandise was reportedly swapped with the driver’s used personal belongings. The girlfriend is accused of knowing about stolen property entering the home and benefiting from it.

Arrested individuals were identified by name in the sheriff’s office announcement and face felony charges: grand theft in the higher-dollar range and related offenses for the driver, and accessory-after-the-fact charges for his partner. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains active and additional charges are possible.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
