Apartment kitchen fire at The Cove on 21st in Waco extinguished quickly
A kitchen fire occurred at The Cove on 21st Apartments in Waco on the morning of Sep. 27, 2026. Waco fire and police units responded after a report around 8 a.m. and located a blaze originating behind a stove inside one unit.
Crews extinguished the fire quickly and opened a kitchen wall to check for hidden spread; none was found. The property manager moved occupants from the damaged unit because of the harm to that apartment.
