13-year-old struck by vehicle in Miami intersection; taken to trauma center
A 13-year-old girl was struck by a car around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Northwest Seventh Street and 12th Avenue in Miami, police said. Officers and Miami Fire Rescue crews responded to reports of a crash involving an underage pedestrian and treated the girl at the scene. She was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in serious but stable condition. Miami police said the crash remains under active investigation and did not provide information about any potential charges. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
