A federal court in Harrisburg sentenced Charles D. Smalley to 72 months in prison on September 22, 2026, for his role in a conspiracy to distribute crystal Methamp, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said. Smalley, 44, of York County, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute Methamp and received the term before U.S. District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson.
Prosecutors say the case grew out of an investigation into a drug trafficking operation that shipped kilogram quantities of Methamp into York. Authorities intercepted a parcel containing more than seven kilograms of Methamp destined for Smalley’s home and later observed Smalley and a co-defendant transfer the package to another individual, according to court filings summarized by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The sentencing record notes Smalley’s prior criminal history and that he was a fugitive for about a year after entering his guilty plea. Co-defendants in the case previously received prison terms: Natasha Myers was sentenced to 40 months in March 2025, and Jashan Moore received 186 months in December 2025.
The Department of Justice said the investigation involved the DEA and the York City Police Department and was handled as part of the Justice Department’s nationwide initiative cited in the prosecution materials.
All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
