Woman fatally shot in Orlando home, deputies say
A 19-year-old woman was fatally shot inside a home in Orlando early Thursday morning, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) reported. Deputies were dispatched to the Ole Heritage Drive at 12:55 a.m. after a shooting was reported and found a victim who had sustained gunshot wounds.
OCSO said the woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead. The agency identified her as Shoumana Abelanda Toutoute. Investigators continue to process the scene and have not released information about a suspected shooter or a motive.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office told reporters there is currently no evidence that anyone inside the residence was specifically targeted for violence. Beyond that statement, OCSO has not provided details about what led to the shooting or whether any individuals are being treated as suspects.
The case remains under active investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
