A federal court in Abilene, Texas, sentenced Troy Nathaniel Navarro to life in prison on Oct. 1 after he pleaded guilty to enticement of a minor, production of chld pornography, and committing a felony offense involving a minor while a registered s3x offender, the U.S. Department of Justice reported. The court also imposed concurrent and consecutive terms totaling life plus additional years, and ordered a lifetime term of supervised release upon any eventual release.

According to the Justice Department, court records show Navarro used the Internet, cellular devices, and cloud‑based applications from 2023 through 2026 to entice minor victims and to produce illegal visual depictions. Navarro admitted employing interstate communications systems in the offenses and acknowledged prior conviction for aggravated s3xual assault of a chld, which triggered enhanced federal penalties for a registered s3x offender.

The investigation began with a CyberTip report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about material stored on a commercial cloud service. Texas Department of Public Safety investigators and federal digital‑forensics teams executed state and federal search warrants that recovered electronic evidence linking Navarro to extensive digital communications and production activity, the DOJ said.

The FBI Dallas Wichita Falls Resident Agency and the Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division assisted the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office in the investigation and prosecution, the Department of Justice reported.
