North Little Rock homicide investigation after woman found shot at residence
North Little Rock police are investigating after an adult woman was found fatally shot inside a home on Tuesday morning in North Little Rock. Officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Green Valley Avenue and located the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s name pending next-of-kin notification.
Police say dispatch first received reports of a shooting around 7:38 a.m. on September 22. Investigators entered the residence and, according to the department, arrested 47-year-old Glen Watson at the scene without incident. Watson was taken to the North Little Rock Justice Center where he was charged with one count of Capital Murder.
The North Little Rock Police Department has characterized the incident as an isolated act of domestic violence. That classification comes from the investigating agency and reflects the department’s current assessment; it is listed separately from formal court findings. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and police say they welcome information from the public.
Anyone with details has been asked by investigators to contact the North Little Rock Police Department Tip Line or Detective William Williams; the department has provided phone contacts for those who may have information. No additional outcomes, injuries beyond the deceased, or judicial resolutions have been reported publicly at this time.
