Motorcyclist died in collision on Goldenrod Road in Orange County

A motorcyclist died after a collision on Goldenrod Road at the Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard intersection in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported. The crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, according to the agency. Both operators were transported to a hospital; the motorcycle rider was later pronounced dead.

FHP’s account states a 54-year-old man was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound in the left-turn lane on Goldenrod Road near Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard while a 24-year-old Orlando man was riding a 2015 KTM motorcycle northbound in the outside lane. Troopers say the Jeep driver turned left directly into the motorcycle’s path, and the two vehicles collided.

Agency actions documented so far include on-scene response, hospital transport for both drivers, and an active crash investigation by FHP. The information that the Jeep turned into the motorcycle’s path is attributed to troopers’ statements and is being treated as an allegation pending the investigative outcome.

No further details about charges, contributing factors such as impairment or speed, or the exact timeline following the impact have been released. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol, which is handling next steps and any formal findings.
