Man reported missing from Ormond Beach located by police
Ormond Beach police say a 28-year-old man reported missing to family members was found Wednesday morning. The Ormond Beach Police Department initially classified the man as endangered after he did not return home following an evening with family.
According to the department, Tyler David Neidig was last with family at dinner about 6 p.m. Monday and was believed to have left his residence on foot sometime after midnight. Officers advised he was without life-sustaining medication and therefore considered endangered. Police provided a physical description during the search: about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
The department located Neidig Wednesday morning, the update states. Before he was found, police asked anyone with information to call the Ormond Beach Police Department nonemergency line. The agency’s initial social-media post supplied the timeline, physical description, and the concern about missing medication that shaped the search efforts.
At this time the department’s update only confirms Neidig was found; no additional details about condition or any next steps were released in the update. The Ormond Beach Police Department handled the investigation and public notification as documented in its communications.
