Henrico police seek 20-year-old wanted in August kidnapping, June shooting

Henrico County police are actively searching for 20-year-old Kiron Yonael Anderson in connection with an alleged burglary and kidnapping on Grammarcy Circle on Aug. 11 and an earlier reported shooting at a Brook Road business on June 23. Authorities say Anderson is considered armed and dangerous and have publicized a list of felony charges tied to both incidents.
According to the Henrico Police, the Aug. 11 incident includes alleged counts of assault on a family member (two counts), abduction, burglary, robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The June 23 incident is listed by police as involving malicious wounding (two counts), two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, reckless handling of a firearm and a shooting in a public place.
Investigators have identified the suspect as Kiron Yonael Anderson, who reportedly uses the names “Ron” or “Motion Boy.” Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous and that he is known to frequent areas in the city of Richmond and Henrico County, including named apartment complexes and neighborhoods. Henrico Police are leading the investigation and have asked the public to contact them with tips.
