One of six men charged in a May 2025 assault at Pike’s Pub in Fort Wayne was sentenced after pleading guilty to counts related to the attack. The defendant, Douglas Zuber, entered pleas to felony battery and misdemeanor criminal recklessness as part of an agreement that included a three-year sentencing cap and dismissal of an additional charge and a prosecutor’s gang-enhancement notice.

Court filings and courtroom testimony describe video evidence of a fight at the bar that was widely shared on social media. Prosecutors played that video during the sentencing hearing; court documents say the recording captured Zuber shouting profanities and racial slurs while others struck the victim. The victim suffered a burst blood vessel in his eye, a significant cut to his tongue, a head injury, multiple bruises, and a large area of skin scraped from his elbow to his wrist, according to court records.

Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull imposed a sentence of three years in the Indiana Department of Correction followed by two years of probation. The plea agreement allowed the possibility that Zuber could serve his sentence in Allen County Community Corrections and did not require him to testify against the five co-defendants. Those five—Jerrad Impton, Christopher Yoho, Ryan Minick, Vard Warnock and Justin Wert—remain charged and are scheduled for trial together in December, according to court scheduling mentioned in the case background.

Allegations recorded in court documents include use of racial slurs and coordinated attacks by several men wearing Outlaw Motorcycle Club-affiliated clothing; those characterizations are drawn from the video and court filings. With Zuber sentenced, the case remains active as the remaining defendants await trial.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
