Former Middleburg High behavioral aide arrested in Clay County on chld pornography counts

A former behavioral health assistant at Middleburg High School was arrested in Clay County on seven counts of possessing chld s3xual abuse material, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office reported. The suspect, identified as Robert Rahn III, 36, is being held at the Clay County Jail following the arrest. Records provided by law enforcement show Rahn worked at Middleburg High from August 2021 to February 2022.
Investigators say the case follows earlier inquiries by Nassau County detectives in 2024 after parents reported concerns about Rahn’s social media activity; that review did not produce criminal charges at the time, according to the record. A woman identified in reporting as a former girlfriend said she and Rahn coached youth baseball together, later ended contact in 2024, and reviewed messages that changed her view of him. Those statements reflect her allegations and memories described to reporters.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office filed the seven counts alleging possession of chld s3xual abuse material; those are the criminal charges as documented. The Clay County Jail roster lists Rahn as being held after arrest. Officials have asked anyone with information to contact Detective Lunsford or submit tips through established reporting channels.
At this stage the documented facts are the arrest, the charges, Rahn’s prior brief employment at Middleburg High, the Nassau County inquiry that did not result in charges, and the Sheriff’s Office request for tips. No judicial outcomes or determinations of guilt are recorded in the materials provided.
