Organizers announced that the long-running downtown concert series previously known as “Rock the Plaza” will relocate to the Electric Works campus in Fort Wayne and will be renamed “Rock the Works.” The move and new name were presented at a musical performance held as part of Visit Fort Wayne’s annual “Be a Tourist” event.

According to event organizers and partners, the series — created and managed by the Allen County Public Library — will continue to offer free, outdoor performances at Weigand Yard outside Union Street Market, with indoor space available at Electric Works so scheduled shows will not be canceled or postponed for inclement weather. Electric Works officials, Allen County Public Library representatives, and Visit Fort Wayne participated in the announcement alongside the longtime series organizer, Kyle Haller.

Organizers said the series had run for nearly two decades with almost 300 concerts and that Electric Works approached the library and event organizers to keep the series operating by relocating it to the campus. Two Rock the Works performances were announced for the remainder of 2026: Alicia Pyle and the Locals on an upcoming Sunday, and the Todd Harrold Band on Sunday, Oct. 11.

No criminal activity, investigations, allegations, or public-safety incidents are reported in the announcement. The series’ operational status is active under the new name and location per the agencies and organizers who announced the relocation.
