Box truck overturns on I-75 ramp; Marion County Fire Rescue extricates driver

A commercial box truck overturned on the southbound I-75 ramp at exit 358 in Marion County, and the driver was rescued by Marion County Fire Rescue crews. The crash blocked the ramp and left the vehicle on its side.
Marion County Fire Rescue reported responding just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to find the driver trapped inside the overturned box truck and unable to exit. Crews worked on scene to access the cab and pulled the driver from the vehicle.
The Florida Highway Patrol was on scene to direct traffic around the blocked ramp and to investigate the cause of the rollover, while the rescued driver was taken to a local hospital. Those are the actions and status documented by responding agencies.
