Bay County law enforcement conducted a multi-division enforcement operation along the U.S. 231 corridor in late September, resulting in dozens of arrests and multiple seizures. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office described the effort as “Operation 6-7,” conducted over the week of Sept. 21, and focused on the Fountain, Youngstown and Bayou George communities.

Agency officials say deputies, BCSO SWAT, Air 1, Criminal Investigations Division and Special Investigations Division investigators executed nine search warrants and made numerous arrests. The SID component alone arrested 24 people and generated 44 misdemeanor charges and 50 felony charges, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators reported seizing 332 grams of Methamp, 1.1 grams of Fent, 213.6 grams of Butanidol (“scoop”), 16.9 grams of Canna and three Canna plants, along with 14 firearms and $2,113 in cash.

Chronology provided by the sheriff’s office places the operation during the week of Sept. 21 and emphasizes coordinated compliance checks and targeted investigations. The agency also reported multiple s3x offender compliance arrests as part of the operation.

At this time the sheriff’s office has documented arrests, charges, warrants served and property seized. Allegations stem from agency statements about the evidence and charges; the facts reported here reflect actions and items the BCSO says its investigators recovered and the counts the SID reported charging.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
